You have been eaten by a grue

[Archived in Entry, Games Pda]

Ted on 2003/12/06:

„One interesting review of these games, written by someone too young to play them when they originally came out, was that because they were text based (and old), they were small, which made them perfect to play on a Palm or other PDA. Hmmmm... now there's a thought!“

Some slightly related:

The Frobozz Magic Blog Company

„By hour eight, I would have eaten my scarf. (The only thing that stopped me was the fact that it was about 4 degrees outside, which is good, because I heard that wool is murder on the digestive system.) The computer I was working on was called smartly called "CHECKIN", at the reception desk. I was at a command prompt trying to get something going, and couldn’t for the life of me figure out why I kept getting "file not found." Turns out I was typing "CHICKEN".“

RAW MEAT

„Christopher Lee's cameo is actually a distraction—it would have been fun if he and James Cossins had switched parts and Lee was the luckless bloke to have been snatched off the Russell Square tube platform (Goodge Street would have been funnier) and eaten in the first scene. I still like the movie, warts and all, and Donald Pleasence, however self-indulgent, is a scream as a not-very-effective copper with a teabag phobia.“

Zork Grand Inquisitor Walkthrough

„On the left of the crossroads is the Dungeon Masters Layer, the entrance to the Z-Underground and the GUE Tech.GUE Tech (1)Unlocking the door with REZROV, we enter and soon face three moving-clicking-whatever puzzles. While the first two are rather easy, the third one isn't logic at all. The picture that opens the entrance to the University is a mixture of the three different window pictures (Forest top, Outlook middle and Sewer bottom).Clicking on the window let us enter the famous GUE Tech.“

Judges' 2003 Reviews

„Berry's Reviews I've littered these reviews with my own ad hoc awards, so I think presenting one to the show-in-general makes perfect sense. The winner of the "Best IF Art Show Ever" goes to 2003. Top to bottom, the quality this year amazed me.“
