„The NEC MobilePro 900 interestingly still uses the H/PC 2000 OS, based on Windows CE 3.0 (same as that on which Pocket PC is based, I believe). However, it uses an Intel PXA255 processor, eschewing the SH3's, MIPS, StrongARM's etc of H/PC's past . 64 MB of RAM is split between storage and running programs, though 16 MB should do quite well for running the OS and a number of CE apps simultaneously, though if you want to play MP3s or WMAs through the mono speaker or stereo headphone jack, an IBM microdrive would probably be a useful purchase.“

Some slightly related:
„I found your website on Google in a desperate last-ditch attempt to find how to connect my inherited LG Phenom via IR to my Sony-Ericsson T68i, and it seems you are the only person in the entire world who has managed to make an internet connection over IR with these two particular devices...So please, how on earth did you do it?? My Phenom is being incredulously stubborn and refuses to recognise the T68i. I can't find any mention of drivers i might be missing, and the T68i's IR port is on and ready, but nil and nothing appears when i examine the drop-down list of available modems on the WinCE Connect Force program or Remote Networking."“http://milk.shake.org/~coffeelover/mt/archives/ cat_technology.html#000093 - Cached

„That has partly been caused by comments from German chancellor Gerhard Schroder, who shrugged off forecasts from research companies warning of a declining growth rate in this country at between 2.1% to 2.3%, compared to 2.7% earlier predicted. Schroder says he agrees with German finance minister Eichel that this year Germany will record a growth rate of 2.6%. Such a figure is highly significant to CeBIT exhibitors - particularly the Asian contingent - as this can sway their decision to put more emphasis on importing into Europe, given the sharp declines in the US retail market.“http://www.tdctrade.com/mne/it/010302.htm - Cached
„Open Source is an idea that a lot of people talk about these days. To some it's a solution that allows a company to harness the power of thousands of individuals globally to help build a product. A development or test team for free! To others it's an evil, value destroying phenomenon, aimed at nothing less than the destruction of intellectual property as a business. A communist plot! What is the truth, and should you use open source in your products, or participate in open source projects? A few weeks ago I was challenged to think about the use of open source in product development as a way to accelerate the development of a product, or platform. Specifically, the question was whether or not you should endorse or start an open source project to gain share in the market. My gut reaction was to say no, because I'm a strong believer in the valued of owned intellectual property. My natural reaction is to want to own the IP developed, and build a business around that IP. Obviously, I have biases. I like to think, however, that those biases are rooted in facts and lots of experience with the developer community.“http://radio.weblogs.com/0111520/stories/2002/12/07/ toopensourceornot.html - Cached
