TechScraper: This new modem released under a partnership with Sprint, who now have the largest mobile network in the US (Sprint Power Vision Network), offers high speed wireless internet access to laptops that do not have PCMCIA card slots, offering instead a USB interface. The card will have immediate benefit for those with new MacBook Pro laptops where a PCMCIA slot was dropped in favour of the incoming ExpressCard/34 format interface. (via Cosmos)
Treonauts | Dedicated to your Treo 700 & 650. The Perfect All-In-One Communications, Information & Entertainment Tool.: Since I’m on the subject of storage there are two other things that I would like to see coming soon to our Treo. The first consists of adding support for the 1GB SIM cards that Samsung and others have developed (which naturally only work with GSM models) and/or the second would see the possibility of having an additional Mini-SD card (now also available in sizes up to 2GB) slot below the Treo battery so as to have a higher permanent on-board storage orders of magnitude higher than the 64MB currently on the Treo 700 series… (via Cosmos)
PCS Intel - Home: The Samsung A900M (formerly the A900P) will be mostly identical to the existing Samsung A900, with less metal on the case as well as support for Sprint MI-UI Themes. In addition, the A900M will also enable GPS applications (such as Garmin Mobile and TeleNav) to be released for the phone. (via Cosmos)

[Blog.treonauts.com] Treonauts | Dedicated to your Treo 700 & 650. The Perfect All-In ...: Given the fact that the Plantronics Discovery line of headsets has been among the bestselling ones for the Treo for quite some time (and that even Palm adopted it as its new high-end Treo headset) existing and very happy Discovery owners might however consider that I am being unduly harsh but the on-ear vs. in-ear matter is one that I personally consider important.
[Blog.tmcnet.com] Palm Treo 700p review: My guess is Verizon decided to support DUN on the Treo 700p or risk losing customers to Sprint who has never blocked Bluetooth DUN. Of course, as previously mentioned, Sprint's data connection maxes out at 144Kbps since they just recently started adding EvDO nationwide in select metro areas, so Verizon would still be my carrier of choice should I buy a Treo 700w.

[msmobiles.com - All about Windows Mobile phones : Microsoft Smartphone , Pocket PC and more] Second Windows Mobile Treo to be launched - with... : Please note: the name "smartphone" has been first used by Palm OS based Kyocera PDA phones, that were sold in USA and then picked also by Palm for their Treo PDA phones. Microsoft has confused situation by using name "smartphone" just for devices that have no touch screen and for smaller, heavily handicapped (no Office Mobile, no MS Reader, etc) Windows Mobile platform - MS Smartphone or Windows Mobile for Smartphone.

[The Gadgets Page - Gadget news and reviews for the real world] Why Doesnt My Treo Have GPS?: GPS chips suck power from your batteries like you wouldn’t believe. That’s not much of an issue if you are using your GPS system in a car where you can plug it into the cigarette lighter, but on a handheld phone, it’s more difficult to keep your battery charged on the run.
[Gadgetell - The Tech News, Reviews, and Interesting Things Blog] This Week in Gadgetell: 7/30/2006 - 8/5/2006: We also hand a chance to test out both the Sprint and Verizon versions of the Treo 700p for the review. We also have a hunch that AOL will finally stop sending CDs to your house since they’ve officially declared themselves a free service (and are firing 5,000 to prove it).
