„SAMSUNG’s line of mobile intelligent terminals, or MITs, is designed to allow users to bring their most important data with them on the road. These terminals pack more computing power than laptops a decade ago, with the power of integrated high-speed wireless communication. „I'd say it has a lot more to do with the fact that most converged devices make you sacrifice important things that lessen the value of having a converged device. People buy the device for very specific things (as the article points out), and if the device can't do those things well, then it's not worth getting. As converged devices get better, then, it's likely that people will be more willing to adopt them.“http://www.stargeek.com/item/44513.html - Cached
„So, as the lines between device categories continue to blur, and "converged device" has less and less meaning every day, I'll continue to take reports like this one from IDC with a huge grain of salt. Or, better yet, perhaps we should just start ignoring them totally. Maybe then these research/consulting houses would be forced to come up with something more useful than the omnipresent "exponential growth" curve that they seem to use to describe every technology on the horizon.“http://www.gearbits.com/archives/ cat_phones.html#000675 - Cached
