Fossil Palm and Pocket PC Wrist PDA Review

„My Palm version didn't come with a CD, I had to go to the Fossilwebsite to find the .prc file to install on my CLIÉ. This was after mistakenly thinking that because it didn't come with a disc, that my watch didn't need additional software and thinking that just because the Wrist PDA said it was receiving beamed information from my PDA that it actually was.“

GamePad for Palm III & VII Series PDAs Review

„I only noticed one small problem with the GamePad.  When the GamePad is connected to the Palm and the Palm device is turned off, pressing any of the buttons on the GamePad will power the PDA on. So, I would advise that the GamePad not be left connected to your Palm PDA when not in use. If for example, it was thrown in a bag, stray key presses could keep the PDA turned on and run the battery down.“

SCHRAG Newsletter 10/28/01

„Last year (July 3, to be exact), I wrote about the importance of frequent visits to Microsoft's Windows and Office update sites. It's still good practice, so here are the links again: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx. Here's another good on-line system checkup: the Microsoft Personal Security Advisor (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/mpsa/start.asp). This tool, available only for PCs running Windows 2000 Professional or Windows NT Workstation, will alert you to settings on your computer that could make it easy for an unwelcome visitor to do nasty things.“
