PDA crash
Kevin Respecki on 2004/03/16:
„My Sony PDA crashed this weekend(you never think it will happen to you!) I had downloaded a theme for a new program (Z launcher) and when I installed it the screen locked up blank! No amount of soft resets would restore it, so I had to do the dreaded hard“

„At times, I took the opportunity to upgrade, which allowed me to try other PDAs on the same OS. I started out with a $200 purchase, and now I have the new Sony NR70V, just adding a little more money each time and making sure my insurance stays current.“http://pocketpress.info/backissues/090702a.html - Cached
„3.18.2002 - Wow, been quite a while. Sounds like from the news there has been a lot of releases in Japan as well as in Germany with CeBIT. I am very interested in this new Sony product. Sony really did it again with their new product and if they just bring it to the US, I will be even more amazing. 66MHz starts to bring Palm OS devices into the competitive range (at least until XScale). Sony also did it again with an even higher resolution and the inclusion of a virtual graffiti pad. Many Pocket PC'ers are say (as I do) Sony should make a Pocket PC, but you know what, if Palm OS 5.0 ever makes it out and is decent, Sony can keep renovating that market. Maybe with Sony's influence Palm OS devices will actually have something going for them again for the more advanced PDA user. Don't get me wrong, I still support the Palm OS as it is now. It is a great entry level product for the general consumer, but frankly, I wouldn't be caught dead using one (even a Sony). They just don't seem to have enough going for a power user. Though I love what Microsoft has done with the market, competition is everything, and I feel that things could slow down if the PDA market gets watered down to being like MS vs. Apple vs.“http://www.davespda.com/commentary/past2.htm - Cached
„If you prefer to avoid Microsoft, if you have a particular affinity for the Palm OS, or if Windows isn't your primary desktop at work or at home (Mac and Linux users will have trouble synchronizing a PocketPC from the desktop), do look at the Sony Clie devices. Sony has models with much brighter, higher-resolution screens than the Palm counterparts at about the same price. The Clies don't have as substantial a feel to them, however...“http://www.jacobsen.no/anders/blog/archives/2003/01/14/ getting_a_new_pda.html - Cached
