Getting things done - my way

„As a long time user personal digital assistants (PDAs), I always used to find myself feeling a little cheated when I bought a new model to upgrade or replace the last. Whether it was my original Psion 3a clamshell or the Palm, HandEra, iPaq and Clie that followed, the device never quite lived up to the unwritten but hinted-at promise that goes hand in hand with PDA ownership: I WILL MAGICALLY ORGANISE YOUR LIFE. Now I don't believe I am flattering myself when I say that I am a fairly intelligent and clued-up kind of person but one always hoped that just a small part of this allure would prove to be true - that the latest shiny package of sleek hardware and cutting edge software would automatically bestow me with a greater ability to manage the tasks and projects in my professional and personal life.“http://www.bignoseduglyguy.com/archives/ 000112.html - Cached

„The weight, bulk and clumsiness of the iPaq and its CF sleeve have become an increasing annoyance that I am no longer prepared to ignore. In my opinion, although the PDA I plan to buy, either a Sony Clie T675c or PEG-NR70V, has roughly the same proportions as the unsleeved iPaq, the clamshell form factor of the NR70V particularly exploits this size to better effect and provides greater functionality. My IIIx will meet all my essential PDA needs until I get the new one but I am impressed by the way that these high end Sony Clies stretch the OS to the limit and pack in additional functionality.“http://www.bignoseduglyguy.com/archives/ 000224.html - Cached

Sony Clie and Evolution on Linux
(#)
„Ever since I got the Treo 600, I've been neglecting my Sony Clie T615C, a very nice PDA that runs Palm OS 4.1. A few months ago, I spent way too many hours trying to figure out how to sync the Clie to Evolution on Red Hat 9 Linux. I updated to new versions of Evolution and the gnome-pilot software and I followed instructions on other people's website, but no joy was to be had.“http://www.wombatnation.com/blog/archives/2004/.../ 326_sony_clie_and_evolution_on_linux.html - Cached

„For example, cellular phones have recently converge the technologies of digital cameras/video or even MP3 players. Another example is the new Sony CLIE that offers more than just a PDA. It is more of a personal entertainment system where users can browse the web via its WiFi technology. All of these components are very much groundbreaking in terms of its sociological suggestions/effects.“http://valiant.iat.sfu.ca/eculture/2b2g/ 000609.html - Cached

„My Sony Clie PDA seems to be crapping out on me; the bloody thing crashes every time I try to do something on it. I'm still trying to get it working properly, but I needed something to work with in the interim. While I don't use the device as much as I expected to when I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago, there are a couple of applications on which I am hopelessly dependent.“http://www.considered-harmful.org/000407.html - Cached

Synching Japanese Sony Clie with iCal on a Mac
(#)
„Skip reading this unless you need help synching your Clie with iCal. I bought a used Clie PEG-T650C at the used PDA shop in Akihabara. Beautiful model, and doesn't have the silly keyboard on newer models. Unfortunately, I could only synch with my mac, and only with Palm Desktop when I set OS X to use Japanese as the primary language.“http://www.muninn.net/blog/archives/ week_2004_02_01.html#000102 - Cached

„The deliberation for a new PDA began as soon as the deal with Ifwan was struck and I was torn between the HP iPAQ 1940 , a simpler Clie or a Tungsten. Nevermind the last two, as soon as I touched the 1940, I realised that this was it. Its sleek design reminded me so much of my first PDA, the Palm Vx.“http://www.najahnasseri.org/archives/ 000888.html - Cached
