Just CE'en - new OS released

„A new release for end users is overdue, I think. Pocket PC 2002, the latest in the line (along with Smartphone ) is based of course on Windows CE 3.0 and hence has trouble with the latest technologies and standards. The latest release aims to address that by providing Pocket Internet Explorer 6 for Windows CE which will support CSS, XHTML 1.0 and latest encryption standards. It also supports Windows Media 9 codecs and integrates the .NET Compact Framework which should make developing for the platform easier.“

A flashier UI won't do it (or we would all be using Panther) and the need to upgrade all my hardware is not appealing for average consumers who expect (and can get) a longer shelf life from their PCS.
