Some slightly related:
„Just as millions of users defied the first engineers' narrow visions of what a home computer could be, and figured out how to make PC's bend to their will, the cheapness and flexibility of commodity computer components are now enabling a new hobbyist revolution in home robotics. C.P.U.'s -- the brains of a PC -- are cheap like borscht, and the sensors that allow computers to see, hear, feel and smell have likewise plummeted in cost. (Pinhead digital cameras, for example, are so cheap these days that it's hard to find a pocket-size gizmo that doesn't have one built in.) All it takes to turn these pieces into a robot is packaging the brains and the senses atop a mobile platform and stirring in some clever code.“http://www.stargeek.com/item/27980.html - Cached
„I thought I'd like it, but once I experienced it in person, the T-Mobile is definitely a gadget to die for. The styling, courtesy of HTC, the same folks who designed the iPAQ is lovely: slightly smaller than a naked iPAQ, it's curvy, slim and comfy in the hand. The screen is quite nice for a 12 bit 4,096 color display (most other Pocket PCs have 16 bit 65,000 color displays these days), and is comparable to a 3600 series iPAQ.“http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tmobile.htm - Cached

„"Nearly unknown a couple of years ago, WiFi is now a $2 billion market, and it's just getting warmed up. These days nobody asks why we'd buy wireless ethernet gear, when good old Category 5 cables still work fine. We're considerably more open-minded about such things, thanks in part to Bob Metcalfe."“http://snowdeal.org/archives/ 2003_05_18_index.html - Cached
„These units have 3.5" transflective displays (transflective displays are the best on the market and have become ubiquitous), 64 megs of RAM with 56 available to the user, and an SD slot that supports SDIO (SDIO is necessary if you want to use anything other than memory cards, such as WiFi cards). Some users aren't fond of the yellow color cast on the display, but it certainly isn't all that bad, especially for the price and features you get with these units.“http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/tips/ pocketpc_2003_comparison.htm - Cached
„Sitting right on the shelf next to the TG-50 at CompUSA was HP’s brand new iPAQ 4355. For some reason, I had completely missed any mention of this PDA on the web. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the 4355 had both Bluetooth and WiFi built in. It also appeared to be very compact, even more so than the TG-50 sitting next to it. And low-and-behold, the bottom 1/3rd of the 4355 had a built in thumb keyboard. A Pocket PC with a keyboard! In a frenzy of gear lust, I bought it right there on the spot. “http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/ ipaq-4355-review.html - Cached
