From My Perspective, Mar 23

[Archived in Entry, Pocket Pc Keyboard, Pocket Pc Palm]

Michael Sampson on 2004/03/23:

  „Add-On Keyboards for Palm and Pocket PC Makers of both Palm and Pocket PC devices offer external fold-up clip-on keyboards for their devices. For example, Palm offers the Ultra-Thin Keyboard for its Palm devices with the universal connector, and HP...“

From My Perspective, Mar 25

  „Sync to Outlook or Notes: Yes, Palm now ships Outlook sync conduits with its devices, but these need to be installed after Palm Desktop and a variety of other things, and from a separate menu. It's easy to miss them. The first screen after "thanks for spending mega-bucks to buy our latest gadget" should ask to what I want to sync it with .“

Linkstew :: Size Matters

  „→ I didn't appreciate how big a Palm III really was until I got my Palm V. I didn't appreciate how big my PowerBook was until I played with the PowerBook G4. I didn't realize how big my Nokia 5165 was until I saw someone playing with an 8260 today in class.“

Linkstew :: The PS2pocalypse

  „Further, they obviously haven't tried to program for either, though developers will program for where the marketshare is, and right now, unfortunately, I'm a little scared for Sega and Nintendo. The only good reasons I've heard to get a PS2 right now is "I don't have a DVD player" or "My playstation died." Once my playstation dies, of course, I'll probably pick one up, but in the mean time, I'm set. Also, read igndc's take on the launch line-up for the playstation 2 as it compares to that of the half as expensive dreamcast.“

Middle Atlantic Perspective September/October 2003

  „We would like to call your attention to some new funding opportunities recently posted on the regional web page (www.nnlm.gov/mar) We particularly want to encourage Network members who have not previously applied for funding awards to consider applying for some of the smaller programs which have a simplified application process. We also expect to be able to add more in coming weeks, so take a look! In addition, under “Other Funding Opportunities” there are links to tools that will help you in the process.“

Re: Palm as LX replacement (Was: Re: HPLX-L Digest - 7 Mar 2000 to 8 Mar 2000 - Special issue(#2000-93))

  „>>I know that there are a lot of anti-MS people in this group,>but I would much rather go with a WinCE machine than a Palm.>As far as I can see, the WinCE machines are far more>powerful than the Palms - my brother let me use his Palm III>fairly extensively, and I can say that it was a very limited>palmtopping experience compared to the power and>functionality of the trusty LX.“

SPUG - Reviews - Palm Wireless Keyboard

  „The keyboard measures 139 mm x 97 mm x 17 mm when closed, which makes it about as small as the Ultra-Thin keyboard, just that's it's thicker. The square keys' spacing measures 18 mm each way (for most of the key that is, the bottom row is significantly thinner, and I find the Tab key kind of small) and there's a pretty good 3 mm key travel, which is how far you can press the keys down. I said 'pretty good' because that's how I like the keyboard on my laptop as it allows me to 'roam' across the keyboard pretty quickly and have each key registered—your mileage may vary though.“

SPUG - Reviews - Palm Tungsten T3

  „I've used a Palm III, Palm V, m505 and, recently I got my brand-spanking new T3 on 5 October, and now use it exclusively as my everyday Palm. Below are entirely my own opinions and experiences comparing an m505 to the T3, so your mileage may vary. But I hope that by sharing my own experiences, I will help you come up with your own fair and balanced insight into this machine.“
