Digital Graffiti

[Archived in Entry, Pda Clie]

Brennan O'Keefe on 2004/01/08:

„My Sony Clie PDA seems to be crapping out on me; the bloody thing crashes every time I try to do something on it. I'm still trying to get it working properly, but I needed something to work with in the interim. While I don't use the device as much as I expected to when I got it for Christmas a couple of years ago, there are a couple of applications on which I am hopelessly dependent.“

Sony CLIÉ PEG-UX50/U Review

„But as much as I liked their innovative PDA designs,  they still didn't have quite the form factor I was looking for. Instead of a horizontal keyboard model, they were making vertical keyboard models. While these PDAs, which include their CLIÉ NR, NX & NZ series, all offered beautiful virtual graffiti screens and many different options such as cameras, Bluetooth and 802.11b wireless, I personally found their vertical keyboards too awkward to use for any length of time - I always went back to graffiti, keeping the PDA screen folded open in tablet/portrait mode.“

Sony CLIE TG50 Review

„Sony came out with a new PDA!!! Ninety days must havepassed… I’m sure by the time that this review is POSTED; my new Clié will havefaded into the PDA purgatory that seems to envelop all Sony products after just a fewweeks. Hey, don’t get me wrong, I love alternatives, and Sony has them coming fromevery angle.“

Sony CLIÉ NR70V Review

„, here comesSony to the rescue with their CLIÉ NR70V! With its 320 x 480 rotating display, soft graffiti area, and built in camera, suddenly it was like uhhhhh, Pocket PC? What's that?“

PDA Buyer's Guide Reviews: Sony Clie NR70 and NR70V PDAs

„Sony's "old" standard of 320 x 320 was attractive enough to sell a large number of units, and the NR70 will probably set a new precedent in PDA displays and in sales for Sony. The screen resolution when the software graffiti area is displayed is 320 x 320. You can "hide" the graffiti area to increase the usable screen size to 320 x 480 for viewing images, playing games and watching movies using the excellent free Kinoma Player and so on.“

[FS: Sony Clie NR70v] - HowardForums

„This is the hottest PDA on the market and the retail price ain't coming down soon... You're already saving $250 for something used less then a month.. those who pick it up with the memory stick and cable are saving another $140 (Mem stick is $199, cable is $40.)“
