„Several readers have let me know that the ROM updates for the iPaq 3835 and 3850 are available from HP / Compaq's ftp site, but the updates still haven't appeared on the official iPaq update web page. The update is supposed to provide fixes for the backlight problems that have plagued the 3800 series iPaqs, improve virtual memory usage, provide longer run times with external expansion pack batteries, and improve ClearType legibility.
